Everyday Renée Classic Christmas Films

In our house, holiday movie-0-thon is a week long marathon, not a sprint, requiring non-stop eating of homemade caramel popcorn, french hot chocolate, leaving out Santa’s favorite cookies for which he prefers french chocolate macaroons with chocolate ganache followed by Christmas dinner and paleo semi-healthy pies. Hey, if your going to do it, do it right and without the processed and refined sugar so you feel less guilty. Free to indulge in other desserts. Plus, the mandatory alcohol to cope with family members or siblings work really, really well. Oh, did I mention I’m Irish too? We do it big around here and choosing the right assortment of feel good movies pre-xmas is no exception. Time to get into the holiday spirit with these festive off the beat films and a bottle of Bordeaux.

Happy Holidaze!

Oh, What’s your go-to holiday playlist?

  1. How did I forget Gremlins and Trading Places in my classic holiday movies list, I’m slipping. lol. My Holiday movies playlist includes Die Hard (of course) A Christmas Story, Home Alone, Muppet Christmas Carol, Scrooged, Love Actually, and all the classic Rankin/Bass specials I can watch.

  2. I don’t think I really have one. I enjoyed Jingle All The Way as a Christmas comedy, and Reindeer Games as a thriller, but neither of those leave me with that “Christmassy” feeling. 🙂

Wife loves “Bad Santa”, and yes, it is funny, but also very tasteless. Hahaha.

  3. Those are fantastic choices! Die Hard is an absolute classic. Though for me, it’s not really Christmas without watching The Grinch or Miracle on 34th Street.
