Besides feeling like I just stepped off the boat and onto the pier in Sorrento, Italy, who says you can’t wear white after Labor Day. I’m a bit of a naughty rule breaker anyway (sorry, not sorry) as I sit here in my pajamas typing this in the middle of the day. Hey, I didn’t say I was perfect. White is not the easiest color to wear, being extremely careful not to spill any type of liquid or chocolate on yourself really says how far your willing to go and succeed in your sartorial responsibilities. White garments should have spill insurance, wouldn’t that be nice (no, seriously) wouldn’t it be? All things being said, I love wearing white or black-and-white-a total classic.
The shapely and wide silhouette lacks transparency and hides everything. I could shoplift a watermelon (cradle it under my Wang, pun intended) if I wanted to, not that I want to, okay let’s just say I do, just to see if I could get away with it in this instance. Wide-legged culottes from Zara are often needed even though it’s September, it’s still hot outside, right! The Alexander Wang crew-neck top unequivocally punctuates the culottes resulting in a pitch-perfect wide structured frame (aka silhouette bonanza). Now I know what an albino Christmas tree feels like (kidding…not really). Notice the hardware piercing the sides of the top (any details like hardware like bars, hoops, and studs are in right now (hello J.W. Anderson Pierce bag), to add a bit more of the coolness factor. I broke up all the white with my fetching Dries Van Noten sandals and my black Prada sunglasses. I like the contrast of the black accessories coordinated with the white. Sometimes accessories elevate the look; be very mindful of what trimmings or bells and whistles you team up with your ensemble-it can boost your look.
